Case study
Transformation strategy for a large Brazilian consulting firm developed in cooperation with its corporate clients
Obszar: Preparation
Metody: Unesco FLKL

The task:
The client was a large Brazilian consulting firm, experienced in cooperating with local corporations and the government. They needed an update of their service delivery system and of knowledge management, given the changing relations between business, government, the world of science and society. They recognized the existing traditional, heavy management structure and saw the need to inspire a team of close to a hundred members. This assignment was entrusted to 4CF experts within the framework of an international consortium under UNESCO.
Our solution:
In co-operation with the international UNESCO team, we designed and conducted a multi-day participatory strategic session. It was attended by representatives of our client’s business partners (including Brazilian mining and aerospace companies) as well as a carefully selected panel of experts from around the world. The next step was an analogical internal process, carried out with the use of the same methodology we developed. This time, however, the role of experts was assumed by the client’s representatives: analysts and managers.
The effects from the client’s perspective:
The client received a report on the possible paths of change with regard to knowledge based economy, including the crucial relations between business, science, government and society. The conclusions contained within the report were the basis for preparing a transformation strategy which was successfully implemented in 2014-2015.
